This is one of our favorite Staycation things to do.
Knoebels is a family run amusement park about 1 hr from our home set literally surrounded by mountains on all sides.
It's a beautiful family park with rides for all age groups to keep everyone happy.
The best part is that it is still a parking free ... admission free park.
This means all of us parents and the grandparents don't have to pay to watch the kiddos enjoy their day. They even had a family style restaurant in addition to the regular amusement park fare.
You can even bring the family dog if you want too !
It's very clean .. very friendly and a heck of alot cooler due to the trees that are in the park rather than acres of blacktop that most amusement parks are parked upon.
We have already spent one day there this year and are going again next Friday.
If you are in the area, for a change of pace ... skip Hershey Park and Dorney Park and give Knoebels a try !

We are amusement park megs - we spent the whole day at one yesterday for Jag's company picnic.
